The hope of Patroclus, latex and oil paint on canvas, 18 x 25", 2017
The boyhood friend of Achilles, Patroclus was a great warrior in his own rite. His death is a turning point in the war and Achilles' sorrow and rage leads to many Trojan deaths. Before his demise, he urged Achilles to save the Greek army and felt that his heroic friend could end the war quickly.
