Poets in the Pit of Thieves - New Dante-Inspired Grouping

12/5/2017

"And there great coils of serpents met my sight,
so hideous a mass that even now
the memory makes my blood run cold with fright"
This work is a grouping of 3 separate large paintings that can be hung together. The paintings depict a scene from Dante's "Inferno". The two poets have entered the 7th Bolgia of Hell and encounter a great mass of serpents, binding the souls punished for thievery.
