Today I'm sharing a John Clovis watercolor painting that I photographed at McAteer's restaurant in Fairmont, WV. John Clovis (now retired) was one of my first professors at Fairmont State and played a big part in my development as an artist. John Clovis, "Movements", watercolor on paper I believe this is a painting of Valley Falls State Park, where Mr. Clovis was known to frequently paint with students.

Mr Clovis, had him for 3 class at FSC back in the mid 80s, great artist, he definitely had the talent and an eye for design.

I couldn't agree more! And I would add, an incredible teacher as well - able to bring out the best in his students. Glad we, and so many others, were able to study with him.

I inherited a John Clovis watercolor called No Sun Today. I love it and began researching finding your Movements post. I can't find any other information on John Clovis, his other works or the value of my piece. Can you point me int he right direction to find out more!
