The holidays are a time for family, so I with this post, I would like to share some of my family's talents. My Mother Janet Overfield, paint on paper, 1976 I studied this painting very closely as a child. I believe its use of black and white influenced my interest in contrast. My Father James Overfield, walnut spoon, 2012 My father has always been an extremely creative person, most often in practical applications. He's now retired and is delving into woodcraft, leathercraft and metal work. The Cosners My sister, Carla Cosner has created her own magazine, West Virginia Family from the ground up. She takes on the work of editor, graphic designer, sales representative, public relations, delivery and more almost single-handedly. Her husband, Chris Cosner, is a talented painter, designer and animator - proficient with the old tools as well as the new ones. He's currently teaching art at Glenville State College. In addition, their daughters Kristen and Kylie have inherited their artistic talents. cla contemporary Blue and White Porcelain Double Stack Ring My sister-in-law Chelsey Adams makes amazing jewelry and ceramics which are both contemporary and elegant.
