Start of 2012's figurative work 01/19/2012
Below are my first works of 2012 to be published online. The first exhibits my continuing exploration of scraping away wet latex paint to create a contemporary figure from the black beneath. The second is a revisiting of a series I created in early 2010 with oil pastel. "8th of January", latex paint on canvas, 48"x30", 2012 "1-16-12", water soluble oil pastel and graphite on duck cloth, 14"x18", 2012 A new year and a new painting. 01/02/2012
This first painting to be posted in 2012 is a continuation of my series of contemporary figure paintings with latex on canvas. The contour line drawing is created through scratching away the wet paint. "29th of December", latex paint on canvas, 48"x30", 2011 Happy New Year and Thank You! 01/01/2012
