I'm so thrilled to be able to share images of my work in the home of collectors. Jordan and Hayley have numerous pieces of mine and Lauren's work, and we've been dying to see them installed. We can now share beautiful photos of two of my paintings in their impressive home. Click on the image below to see a feature (starting on page 22) in Bear Mountain Life Magazine with amazing photos and an incredible story about their dream home in the mountains of Vancouver.

Awesome to see my 2017 painting The Counsel of Odysseus on the cover of Maya Phillips' new poetry collection Erou!
It was quite the amazing moment the other night, while Lauren and I were watching television and suddenly spied her work in a commercial! James Harden, the current MVP of the NBA, appears in a commercial for Hulu with Lauren's work directly behind him! Please check out the full commercial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rR51TDphzI
My recent solo show at the James David Brooks Memorial Gallery at Fairmont State University just wrapped up and a closing reception was held on September 13th to give students the chance to meet and discuss my work. Many thanks to professors Jeff Greenham and Jennifer Boggess for orchestrating the exhibit and installation. The students were eager to discuss the mythological themes in the work as well as my techniques. Lauren and I enjoyed the opportunity to meet and discuss narration in figurative art with new faculty member Joel Dugan whose own solo exhibit would follow mine. Also, as always, it was a pleasure to see and talk to our friend and inspiration, the painter Lynn Boggess. Jennifer stated that throughout the duration of the exhibit she saw many students that appeared to be from other majors in the university excited about the work and sharing it with their friends, notably student athletes. That statement made a great evening all the better to know that my work was getting such a positive response from such a varied audience!
In early July, I will be releasing a new drawing series, titled ULYSSES. The drawings will explore themes from Homer's Odyssey in charcoal and pastel. My recent painting "Portrait of a Zealot" will be included in the 11th Annual Human Form Show at the Hilliard Gallery in Kansas City, MO. The exhibit begins April 6th and runs through May 25th. About the power of the figure in art, the gallery states: In the history of art the human figure bears, in different ways and through different periods in time, a huge significance, being the most direct means by which art can address the human condition. Portrait of a zealot, latex paint on canvas, 18x25", 2017 If you're in the Kansas City, MO area, please stop by and see the show, should include lots of great examples of contemporary figurative art!
