The recent nice weather gave Lauren and I the chance to visit nearby Pricketts Fort State Park. The park's museum is lucky enough to have the following painting by Lynn Boggess on loan.
Lynn Boggess, Pricketts Creek 3 April 03, oil on canvas, 2003
Lynn Boggess is a successful landscape painter and was our professor when we attended Fairmont State. His views on art and art-making were very important to the both of us as students. In fact, it was Boggess' figurative work that inspired me to explore the figure. In the spring of 2000, I happened upon this drawing outside of his classroom and decided the path I was to pursue as an artist.
