Two of my recent works, "Man reclining on Chinese field", and "Procrustes the stretcher" were accepted to the annual Allied Artists of West Virginia Juried Exhibition at the Parkersburg Arts Center in Parkersburg, WV. Lauren's work was also accepted and you can see our paintings there from May 11th to June 28th.

Below are my first works of 2012 to be published online. The first exhibits my continuing exploration of scraping away wet latex paint to create a contemporary figure from the black beneath. The second is a revisiting of a series I created in early 2010 with oil pastel.

This first painting to be posted in 2012 is a continuation of my series of contemporary figure paintings with latex on canvas. The contour line drawing is created through scratching away the wet paint.
