Two of my recent works, "Man reclining on Chinese field", and "Procrustes the stretcher" were accepted to the annual Allied Artists of West Virginia Juried Exhibition at the Parkersburg Arts Center in Parkersburg, WV. Lauren's work was also accepted and you can see our paintings there from May 11th to June 28th.

Today I came across a collector that featured one of my drawings on their blog The Glamourai. I feel so fortunate to have such awesome and stylish buyers! I would never have thought to pair my drawing with golden dinosaurs but I'm really "digging" it!

Below are my first works of 2012 to be published online. The first exhibits my continuing exploration of scraping away wet latex paint to create a contemporary figure from the black beneath. The second is a revisiting of a series I created in early 2010 with oil pastel.
"8th of January", latex paint on canvas, 48"x30", 2012
"1-16-12", water soluble oil pastel and graphite on duck cloth, 14"x18", 2012

Happy New Year and thank you to everyone that has supported me throughout 2011! I'd like to thank each and every one of you that purchased a piece, came out to receptions, and followed me online. Your support means the world to me. Below are some of my figure paintings and drawings that found homes this year. I hope you all enjoy them for many years to come!
